The BIG R – What to do when you retire?
Now that’s a BIG question. You suddenly have loads of time on hand. No rush, no calls from the office. Everything is peaceful. Or is it too peaceful? Being free to do anything is not the same as doing nothing. How much of peace and quiet is good?

The basic idea is for us to ensure that money shouldn’t be in short supply. If time is in short supply, and time usually always is, please ensure that the wealth you are creating is passed on smoothly to your next generation.
But you are alive! And having a great time! You should continue to do that, shouldn’t you? Just because you are no longer having to go to a job doesn’t mean that you stop looking forward to the things you love doing. Set aside some funds for when you may not have a regular salary coming in but the really important thing about renewment is to ensure that you know what you would like to continue to do after your job is over. Whether you would still like to work? Or whether you wish to travel? Or do you expect to support your children even during that age? Or do you wish to constantly make some donations during your retirement period? These are all some of the things that you need to think about, well in advance.
Like I said, money should not be in short supply but please ensure you have a plan for life, not just about money.
